We love to meet brides and grooms who tie the knot in a very non-traditional way. When we met Hannah Smith on a casual dinner out, we got introduced to a very talented bride who had just had the biggest surprise of her life by her boyfriend now husband Andre.
Hannah and Andre took a very casual trip to Las Vegas to get away from the day to day hustle and bustle of Atlanta, and also some time off from their musical careers. On August 15th, 2011 on the spur of the moment the two decided to get married at The World Famous Little White Chapel.
Andre’s suggestion was proposed to Hannah on a Sunday afternoon and by Monday morning 9 am, the two were being married by Pastor Rodger!
“We were staying in The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Vegas and on Sunday night, I ran to the strip of shops in between the Mandalay Bay and The Luxor hotels in search of a white dress. Success! In the 7 minutes I had before the stores closed at 11pm I found a white dress at Fashion 101! On Monday morning after “Lorenzo 1” the driver picked us up in our “wedding Limo” and took us to the court house it was on to the chapel where we were greeted by “Lorenzo 2” the photographer! All the frills were provided by the chapel. The flowers, The Veil, The garter and even the rings. Our vows were even videoed by them”, Hannah expressed to us.
Joan Collins and Michael Jordan both got married at The Little White Chapel, according to Hannah the day felt their own movie in the making….
So guys and gals, for those of you who are the non-traditional couple and like to think outside of the box, maybe a Vegas Wedding might be something to plan for you and your significant other after or before the real big day minus all the wedding guest and more of a purely simple blissful option.
